Title: The Painted Lady
Challenge/Prompt: #6 Spirit
Original Fiction or Fanfiction [Name of fandom]: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Characters/Pairings: Katara
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I do not own the Avatar sandbox. I am just in the sandbox to play with the toys.
Summary: Katara finds inspiration in the spirit worshipped by a colony.
Author's Notes: I hope this makes some sense. My muse seems to work best when I have had little sleep.

Kneeling down before the clean waters of the lake, Katara leaned forward with her hands cupped in front of her and lowered them into the water. It had been a long and trying day for her and her companions. They had dealt the Fire Nation army a heavy blow and helped the residents living upon the lake to clean up the pollution.

As she sat there looking down at the clean blue waters, she couldn’t help but thank the legendary spirit she had been inspired to become and help out the people whom believed in her existence.

The Painted Lady.
