Outer Regrets

Standing outside their each respective palaces that hovered above their home planets, the Outer Senshi watched in shock and horror as the last cries of the Moon Kingdom echoed throughout the darkness of Space. Of course those upon the Earth had no clue to the carnage that had surfaced across it's floating satellite and would never know what was heading in their direction.

The three young women bowed their heads in regret and shame, knowing that they had done what they could to protect the Outer Rime of the Solar System only to find that the Darkness itself had snuck past the defenses and savagely destroyed their beloved Queen and Princess.

Their hearts were heavy and filled with pain at the loss of both of them. The three Outer Senshi - Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto - knew the Darkness would rear it's head and draw towards them insuring that none of them would interfere with whatever it had planned for the Earth as well.

Sensing this the talismans in their possessions rose from their hands glowing brightly and causing the Outers to become startled by their sudden awakening. They could only surmise that these pieces were calling to the others and each one was answering that call.

But why?, they wondered.

Their answer would come when they noticed the planet Saturn glowing slightly brighter than the other planets and knew that the their talismans' were summoning the Bringer of Silence. This was not good. Not all. Saturn was never suppose to be awakened unless the matter was dire, and although this was a dire situation, Saturn would destroy everything in her path and leave nothing to chance.

The three elder Senshi of the Outer Solar System moved to stop this but it had been too late; Saturn had been awakened and was heading directly towards the Moon Kingdom. Regret once more tore through the three of them and each unable to tear their gazes away as Saturn arrived upon the moon. Her glaive shining brightly as she raised it and then dropped it.

An explosion rocked the Moon and then silence.

Nothing more than silence once again washed over the solar system leaving the elder senshi alone to their regrets and thoughts.
